Liam Payne Cause of Death: An initial examination of Liam Payne’s body indicated on Thursday that the ex-One Direction vocalist, who tragically fell from his hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, passed away due to “various injuries and significant internal and external bleeding.”
The report is from the National Criminal and Correctional Prosecutor’s Office N°14 and was released the day following Payne’s death in Buenos Aires. The investigation into the 31-year-old’s death is ongoing, but evidence suggests the musician was alone and experiencing a substance abuse-related episode at the time of the fall.
Emergency responders reported on Wednesday that the British singer plunged approximately 43 to 46 feet from a balcony at CasaSur Palermo Hotel onto an internal patio.
As reported by media sources, the hotel’s main receptionist contacted authorities just before Payne fell, requesting help for a guest who had consumed excessive drugs and alcohol.

The receptionist told the emergency call operator that “He is in a room with a balcony and we are slightly worried that he might do something dangerous”.
Why was Liam Payne in Argentina?
The 31-year-old singer had reached Argentina two weeks before his unfortunate passing. He mentioned on social media that he went on the trip to show his support for his old bandmate Niall Horan during a concert at Movistar Arena on Oct. 2.
Before his departure, he shared a Snapchat story expressing his desire to reconnect with Niall.
“It’s been a while since me and Niall have spoken,” he said. “I would like to square up a couple of things with the boy. No bad vibes or nothing like that but just — but we need to talk.”
